Travelling a good 45 minutes away to visit film school friends in the isle of Mactan is becoming more and more of my favourite escapist fare and an impending habit of choice. It isn't the most practical thing to do with the distance and the crazy cab fares and all, but I run out of good reasons NOT to do it anyway. Great conversations with equally great free spirits, and yes, readily available wines and 'spirits' of another kind- exactly the kind of place where one can seek reprieve from the stresses of city life.
So sometime over the weekend I trooped over to the island with my new favourite gal Dane (the uber fasyonable one behind Trust Me, It's Paradise) to chill with the boys over some jack cokes and talk about everything and anything in the sun. Everyone came to rock, of course-- badass blingage from Andrew, combat boots from Dane, and sunglasses at night from Thaad (hahaha)... all in all, I'd say it was a night for the books. I went home smiling from ear to ear, and that hasn't really happened for quite a while. Thanks, T.
