As much as I love summer and all the fun times that supposedly go with it, I'm honestly relieved that it's coming to a close. The summer heat overkilled this time and I think everyone took a beating with the incessantly cruel hot and humid air. It's not awesome commuting around with the kind of heat we've been having these past few months. I know I've had a fair share of weather rants here on this blog, but this year really took the cake. Hopefully it's all over and done with and we can get back to piling on some layers again.

I'm eagerly welcoming the windy, cooler season with widely open arms-- I'm glad I'll be able to wear my leathers and other favorites again. And speaking of favorites, one recent addition that I can't seem to stop wearing is this truly unique origami-inspired skirt from Choies. I've been mulling whether I should get that Zara skort that every blogger seems to own, but decided to go for this one instead (though I might still get that as well) when I saw it on the site. It's comfortable, fits really well, and I've got nothing but compliments about it. I have to hand it to Choies for having really incredible pieces to choose from!

I recently spent a weekend in Manila for my participation in Bloggers United 3, and it proved to be more eventful (in good ways and in bad) than all my weekends combined as of late. Got the chance to hang out with blogger friends from Manila, the friends we're staying with got their car bashed in and their camera and lenses stolen (shit happens!), and a friend just randomly gave us tickets to see the Backstreet Boys and NKOTB in their Manila concert... totally random turn of events for a stay that comprised of less than 48 hours. Friend's misfortune aside (they were just glad worse things didn't happen), it WAS a great 48 hours, and now I'm planning my next trip there in my head again. Gotta love Manila.

I put this outfit together to head to the NKOTBSB concert (which was awesome BTW) in SM-Mall of Asia and managed to turn a few heads, haha. My package from OASAP just arrived recently, and lately I've been inseparable with this awesome stud bag and perspex shades. Thank you to the good people of OASAP for sending this in. This bag has exactly the kind of functionality I need, and well... the shades are just awesome. Mucho thanks to SheInside as well for this structured blazer in pastel pink, which is just perfect in my book. And the pastel nails I got from my visit to Beauty and Butter added the right touch. It's been more than two years since I officially started acting for film and it's been good so far-a string of short films (one award-winning at that--more later), and a critically-acclaimed feature film that's been screened in many parts of the globe. It's been two years since and I'm still very grateful for the opportunity "Damgo ni Eleuteria" has given me. Like I always say: they may not know my name, but at least some film buff from Dubai or South Korea found my work funny. I hope. Haha.

A few weeks back, I was part of the press conference in preparation for the Cinema One Originals Digital Film Festival here in Cebu City, along with the other actors and directors of other participating films like "My Paranormal Romance" and "Di Ingon Nato" Kinda sad how our movies were screened everywhere else before finally landing in Cebu, but oh well. Thank you to our media friends who came to support!

Absolutely loved my stripe-on-stripe-on-stripe outfit prepared by my bff Yves Camingue. The top itself is from his new and very much inspired RTW collection almost made entirely of indigenous fabrics. So brilliant. I also want to extend my love and gratitude to the incomparable Jessie Glova and the Jessie Glova Make-up and Style Studio for making me look lovely, and to the lovely Angela of Asianvogue Shop for sending me a couple of pairs just for this occasion. I am forever grateful!

"Damgo ni Eleuteria" will make its next stop at the Southeast Asian Film Festival in Singapore this March. If you're in the area, hope you could support! :)

Yes! Finally back in the blogosphere. Apologies for the hiatus. Took the time off waiting for my computer to get fixed to focus on some work and a bit of RnR. Got a lot of catching up to do for sure. I'll do all I can to reply to your comments asap.:)

Just sharing a quick outfit post of what I wore to an intimate press conference with Casa Verde, one of Cebu's favorite restaurants (more on that later) during the launch of their new website. I'm currently in love with this refreshing color, it's supposed to get really big this summer, and it's just lucky that I managed to thrift this awhile back. Unfortunately though, this might be the last time that I'll be able to wear this in the next few months-- summer is in full swing, and it's ridiculously hot. Someone make it NOT a crime to step out in underwear, pls. Kidding. But it's definitely time to strip down the layers.

I made the choice to go ash blonde. I got tremendously sick with my red hair and the perils and costs of having to deal with it(red is definitely the hardest hair color to keep up with. proceed with caution if you're thinking about it). I think the annoying "grandma" comments from my mom made it worth it in the end, cuz I genuinely liked how it turned out, damaged hair and all. Haha.

I'm never going to separate from my 50mm lens. EVER. I kinda wanna marry it and have kids with it. Hahaha, jk. Thank you so much mom for finally caving in to what I wanted for Christmas. I swear I'll take really good family photos with it, lol. Definitely the best lens you can get at such an affordable price point!

I took my new lens on a spin in the town through these outfit shots (thank you Yves for taking them). If I were to have a daily uniform, it would be along the lines of this outfit I'd say. A lot of people call my style "edgy" but I'm more of utilitarian quite honestly-I like well-structured clothes that I can work and be mobile with. I definitely plan to be more streamlined where my style is concerned this 2012. This cap-sleeve trench is becoming a fast favorite--I've been on the hunt for a sleeveless/cap-sleeve one for awhile, so you can imagine my glee when I got to score this amazing piece for a bargain:)

Admittedly, I'm not feeling as festive as I'm supposed to because of what has happened to our brothers and sisters who really suffered through the wrath of Sendong, especially in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan. Many lives were claimed (more than 600+ now with 800 more missing), and the count will still go higher in the next few days.
