The Event That Was: Sinulog 2009
5:19 AMCebu City has proven time and time again that it can throw one heck of a party. To the denizens of this charming locale, Sinulog is definitely that, and more-an enduring festivity celebrating the impact of the Sto Nino in the lives of the people, and all the spectacle and grandeur that comes with it. A colourful mardigra filled with thousands of devout patrons, as well as huge parties and shindigs come nightfall, are among the things to be expected in this most sought-after yearly fare.
And at that, it was a great time for the stylistas to fashionize accordingly. It was a time of chic simplicity, where heels had to give way to the practicality of flats as the Cebu streets were flooded by the ton. People came to dance to the beats, and that they really did.
