So, summer is definitely coming to a close... and I think I'm going to miss it terribly. Who wouldn't?
You all saw and knew what summer was like for me--great beach escapades, fashion events, new friends, and good times with old contemporaries. I could only send this summer off with the hope that the next one will hold even a tad bit of light to everything that transpired these past 2 (or3?) months.
Sob, sob... okay, I gotta stop before I get all teary-eyed with all this nostalgia. That said, and given just the right touch of sun to go with it, I "said adieu" to summer in this casual day classic ensemble:

denim shorts- Guess Jeans
strappy wedges- Xhilaration
brown leather tote- SM
Boy am I glad mom has great clothes... well, at least to have aunts and friends with great style to give her great clothes. You see, mom is totally from a parallel universe when it comes to fashion--yep, we have had major throwdowns before because she gave away MY stuff like the perfect Dorothy Perkins black pumps or a pleated Nine West bag or an old Prada wallet(!!!!) simply because she didn't give a care in the world about them. Yep, that kind of mom. Argh, you can sense my frustration, right?. But well, gotta love (and hate, lol) her! Also, a humongo thanks to my make-up artist and close friend Chiqz Espinoza for the Xhilaration wedges from the US. thanks hun!
But I thank her for this silk paisley button-down though. I've literally stolen this from her for YEARS now. it never gets old--definitely a classic staple worth having in the closet. plus, paisley is just incredibly cheerful, yes? this bag also is quite reminiscent of Balenciaga's motorcycle bag series, but then. its just another SM steal buy.:)
Sigh, the saffron colours of the shots just make me melancholic more, because bidding adieu to summer is really imminent. But yes, fall IS my favorite season to dress up, so at least that still makes me smile. What about you, what do YOU look forward to during summer?
