Ystilo Sugbuwanon Fashion Series: The First Leg

8:58 PM

Before I do start with this entry.. again, THANK YOU, all, for the overwhelming support.

I'm merely content with sharing my various daily undertakings with you- but to get feedbacks from new visitors, new followers (66 now. whoa)-- is always mindboggling, unexpected and surreal. I am always grateful and there's never a day that I forget that. So there, thanks, much love, and it will always be reciprocated in kind.:)

----000O000----

A few days back, The Garb successfully celebrated the group's return to the local fashion and entertainment scene with the first leg of the Ystilo Sugbuwanon (Cebuano Style, if you may) Fashion Series. The Garb was a small association we started a few years back, putting together a group of young individuals who thrive in all things fashion, events and productions. Unfortunately we had to abandon the group along the way due to our increasingly hectic schedules-but somehow we (me, Yves and maquillage maven Chiqz Espinoza, along with some new members) managed to recon just recently, and like the adage goes, we're definitely back and better than ever.

Since this was our comeback project, and since it was also to be held at chic and luxe VUDU, we needed to make sure that the "bang" was ushered in style:

For our first outing in the Fashion Series, we decidedly featured young designers Orville Biongcog with his sleek and savvy bodycons and power dresses, and Manuel Tomaque with his stunning "gothic ballerina" series (yet to have a separate feature here in CITT). We also highlighted the creations of Kieth Bitor, an up-and-coming designer who specializes in custom-made bags made from buntal (a native material) and Australian swarovski. I'm definitely proud to say that it all made up for an incredible fashionizing fete, with friends and fashionistas alike filling the venue to the brim.

And of course, in just like any other event, this would not be a success and would not be possible at all without the presence of those that mean the most-compatriots and friends. LOVE, LOVE all of you for the LOVE.

As you can tell, it was another fun event capped off in the metro. There's definitely more coming up.. and again, thank you all for keeping things posted right here in CITT.

P.S. Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson just passed away. Let's say a little prayer or two.
