MOM'S OLDIES, NEW GOODIES
2:07 PMIt's 1:36 AM, I just came from a rather tiring meeting, and I'm still up blogging... I did promise to blog and get back to you guys whenever possible.:) Anyhoo.. in the attempt to declutter the house, my mom decided to empty out a couple of boxes of her old clothes that she had lying around. Lo and behold, i found some stuff worth keeping. Thank heavens I mustered up the courage to go through the piles of dusty clothing. Isn't that always a great feeling, being caught by surprise by items truly worth salvaging?
Its always amusing to note how style evolves throughout the decades, how we've all had hits and misses, how some trends that were of the moment back then would die down, and then get resurrected at some point, etc, etc. Trends change as often as people do, and its always a mystery as to what's next.. So what about you, what do YOU think is next? definitely some food for thought.
Leaving you with another gratuitous outfit post before I completely drain my brains out with my own question. Lol. To my followers, both new and old, and to those drop by with a comment or two.. you guys are love.
Oh, and muchas gracias to my friends at PriceIce.com for their faith in CITT! Make sure to visit them for faster ways in finding the styles you need:) To everyone else who would want to discuss advertising options, please don't hesitate to email me at edeninthetropics@yahoo.com.

Mmmh so I think that this silhouette (and especially these uber classy shorts) strongly tend to illustrate a certain "Safari CHIC" (Roaring) inspiration !!! Because THE fashionista kindly can be a wild/glossy conqueror/predator too . . .
ReplyDeleteJ'espère que tu vas Bien Chère Eden .

ReplyDeleteAh, I am always a sucker for leopard print; a timeless classic. I like how it's a cross between a shirt and a jacket, with the lapels...
ReplyDeleteHmmm, my prediction for what will come around again? '60s mod style!
Like what I always say, fashion may eveolve but it always repeats itself. Great find! Our Mom´s clothes are always the best vintage finds not to mention that they come free too. ;)
ReplyDeleteLovely casual look, Eden!
People should not follow trends, but have their own style.
ReplyDeleteI go through my moms closet all the time and fine stuff that worth saving. Like vintage 25 year old slouch boots. Lamb skin to be exact.

ReplyDeletei was just thinking the other day while my mom and i were thrifting that sometimes, she looks skeptical when i pick something out only because she's worn the look in the 80's and may be wondering why i'd want to wear it now...LOL.
