For those planning to visit Davao City soon, there are very interesting tidbits you MUST know. It's always been public knowledge that the city has taken extra measures in making sure that the peace and order in the area is almost never challenged. Matter of fact, the breeze is intensely fresh back there, because yeah, no one would dare smoke in public as that can get one fined or penalized. I can already hear the screams of protest from some of my friends, but that's the way it is, and some would daresay, for good measure.
Another thing one must note is the city's very strict liquor ban. The nightlife begins as early as 7pm or 8pm (!!!) simply because all establishments must stop serving liquor at 2 am the latest. Me and my friend's got a firsthand view of this, and boy, was it fun seeing a lot of people hammered and grinding as early as 9pm. Radical!
Strict restrictions and all, the parties there are no different than the ones here at home, and the people there truly know how to get their party on. I had a bllllast. I can't wait to get back!
