I haven't really begun my day just yet, but I just had to share this extremely poignant (to me at least) cover and inset photos of Brit rocker-cum-male supermodel Josh Beech, shot by Hedi Slimane for Vogue Hommes '08. I'd daresay that "Erotique" is the perhaps the most apt way of putting it, as Beech is just sinfully engaging to the eyes, and Slimane and his technique captures it all too well. That, and the industrial, post-apocalypto inspired bondage gear that Beech dons with so much aplomb tells us that his badassness is innate-- and that makes it hauntingly sensual.

So Day 2 of my hosting gig turned out really well, and the fun really was in the details. Had more surprises for the audience this time, and though it is undeniably tiring, you just can't help but enjoy yourself once you see that everyone watching is having a ball as well. For the 2nd day I decided to go for clean yet fun pieces, and so I wore this lovely Leigh Tailored Jacket from Sophistix, which I received a couple of days back.
This was definitely my favourite piece from the bunch. It's an on-trend piece without the overkill, the pop of red is a delight, and the tailoring kills. Seriously, and this opinion is impartial and without bias-- I was overwhelmed with the quality of the materials and the execution of the tailoring.. it definitely felt like custom pieces for a fraction of the price.
This piece is uber fun. Definitely made me feel like the "ringleader", harhar.:) (***Special thanks to Eknam K of Sophistix.net)

So over the weekend I took on an event hosting gig that lasted from Apr 30-May 2 for Yamaha Motors Philippines in Ayala Center-Cebu. Basically it was the Cebu leg of their fiesta-inspired nationwide caravan that showcases the latest motorcycle models from Yamaha, as well as newly introduced Yamaha|Apparel, the company's very own clothing line thats geared towards the active motorcycle lifestyle. A super long event to host, but I had a lot of fun doing it, worked with the most incredibly nice people and just basically enjoyed my whole tenure in the program.:)
Because of my lack of time to post for actual gratuitous outfit shots I've decided to just document what I'd wear for the whole 3 days to at least make up for the lost time. Hehe. Figured I'd go for something classic moto-inspired, since the event was all about actual motoring, anyway. Hehe.
I'd like to extend my deepest thanks to my co-emcee Bobby Bee, to Maki of Yamaha, and to Gavin Jumao-as, Guenny Jumao-as Flores, Camille Benedicto, Shaleem Tiannok, Miss Jida and the rest of the prod team.. you guys made it so much easier and worthwhile.

I'm extending my giveaway for another week as I know I've been a delinquent blogger. You guys already know my pressing work schedules, so to explain it would be redundant again. Hehe. But i promise I've got a lot more posts for this week, plus the winning entry announcement, so things should be fun.:)
Just a little over the weekend me and my homegays (Yves, young designer Brylle Quirante and make-up artist Dominic Sy) decided to help out our friend Joy for her personal model folio by styling it for her- main difference is, we were not able to bring a lot of clothes at all, as it had been a hectic day as well for all of us.. So with clothes off our backs, and then some from the photographers, we came out with something surprisingly pleasant.
Kudos to incredible photog couple Reynald Geonson and Ellen Grace Renegado for the shots.:)

Yes guys, I know I've been uber delinquent with outfit posts.:( Sue me and handcuff me right away! Seriously, I'm just so pressed for time these days, its not even funny. But things should look up next week--and I'm doing an event series this weekend, so that should count for outfit posts anyway. Hehe.
So yeah, I'm feeling the weather change these days. It's actually starting to get windy, as opposed to just hellishly hot and humid. "Pre-fall" coming up? Maybe. Again we only have 2 seasons, but in the very least i'm hoping for a reprieve from the extremely hot or extremely rainy, because I saw this reversible fur vest (faux silver fox hair/white suede reverse) and it was just mad, mad love. Cost way more than the usual thrifted vintage, but well worth the buck.
don't ever buy new real fur. no one wants to be on PETA's flour-bomb watchlist.
just enjoyed the irony of a lighter near a fake fur vest, because everyone knows the hazards of that together (and those are shorts by the way, people.)locale: Yves' room. taken some time at 3 am while we were up all night making accessories for a show. fun.
And ooh, guess what came in the mail for me today---
