Hi again all, and sorry for the huge interval between posts; I'm still getting over the bug and things have been downright hectic, but I'll catch up with you asap.:)

I haven't been to a fashion show in quite sometime so you can guess how ecstatic I was to have been invited to the launching of Anthill Fabric Gallery, which aims to serve dually as a designer lounge for stylemakers to mingle and convene. I was there in support for my good friend Yves Camingue as one of the designers in the evening's showcase, as well as our gal Aoi Gerbabuena who walked his finale look.

Creations from other acclaimed Cebuano design talents like Edwin Alba, Veronica Valente, Manuel Tumaque. Brendon Val Cenon, Marlowe Dacules, Jonas Navarro, Joseph Navales, Rey Humberto Villegas, Alejandro Godinez, Peewee Senining, Lord Maturan & Lorymer Villareal were also showcased. I hugely appreciated the bold play of colours and new shapes.

But on top of the intricate designs, the twist of the night was the silent auction of the designers finale looks, which was constructed from indigenous materials of the Ifugao region, which is part of the cultural goals of the Anthill, which is definitely commendable.

Dudes, sorry if I've been MIA for a few days. i think i'm coming down with the flu or something. which really sucks. but.. i'll do my best to get back to you ASAP.

So, i found this incredibly comfy and effortless cheetah print shirt in one of my bargain trips and I fell in love. I think one could style this just like the ubiquitous loose white shirt but packing a more interesting twist. wore this with my "Balmain" GoJane heels, because a friend's been asking me where they went (yep, i'm talking to you Ariel. hehehe.)

Sorry for the hair, guys. I literally just woke up.

Hope it's been a good weekend for you! Thankfully it has been good for me, albeit very low-key this time. Made plans with Aoi and my folks to watch the phenomenal Philippine bands Side A and Freestyle together with MYMP's Juris in concert at the Waterfront. Mainly I was there because i LOVE Side A, but the others did not disappoint as well.

Wearing this really cute leopard mini which I found in some random bazaar. Normally I don't go for bazaar finds when it comes to clothes (I am an advocate for thrifting and/or tailoring), but this one had potential.

So, how did your Saturday go?

Vagina Monologues

So if vaginas could really talk, what would they say?

Come Feb. 20, I will be making a nervous return to professional theater in a local staging of Eve Ensler's controversial yet celebrated play, The Vagina Monologues. Crystal Cavalier Productions will put together an ensemble of the city's finest female theater veterans for the 5th year in a row, and yeah, I'm just super excited.

there was once a time years past where I devoted a lot of time to theater acting. I'd say my life changes have kind of hindered me to pursue it fully, but now I'm just really happy to take part in it again, though not as often as i'd want to given my other priorities.

Vagina Monologues has long been one of my dream plays, because it is brutally frank, thought-provoking, and yet at the same time it presents women's issues in an incredibly entertaining manner. also, proceeds of the play will be donated to women's charities worldwide, so it's most definitely for a good cause.

Birthday Bash

A few days back, I went to this incredibly fun birthday party. It's one of those times where you barely know anyone (except the one having the birthday), but end up kind of just hanging with everyone. Unlimited shots, cool kids-definitely a great time. But you know, contrary to what some (or most, lol) would believe, I don't exactly live to party. There's nothing I would love more than just sewing away at home while watching TV, or dinner with my gals, or talking to the boyf-but as they say, things happen. But i think i'll stay home more often in the upcoming days or even months. We'll see.:)

These sequined leggings are LOVE. My gal Faye had to get them in the US, since there's none for sale here, so thanks heavens.:)Also, I particularly adored Aoi's gingham check-and-floral vintage shirtdress. and yes, girl loves her baubles.:)

I'm not a rings person AT ALL (i've lost a few of my mom's favorite fine pieces, stupid me), so I just really admire how effortlessly she pulls them together.
