As I've mentioned in a prior post, I'm glad to be in a workplace where I am judged based on what I can bring to the table skills-wise, instead of what I wear. Yes, I have a half-shaved head (I'm still not over it lol) and I do have the propensity to pile on the crazy sometimes, but yes, they're nice enough to let me get away with my idea of "office wear", so long as I come to work on time and blab on-air from 2-8pm... fair enough tradeoff, if you ask me.

A lot of people ask me what it's like to be a radio jock. Do I still get frightened? Yes. Did I make major bloopers? Hell yes. Is it easy? Is it hard? Both yes and no (at least in my opinion). Though it may feel a bit routine after doing it for more than two years, it is still scary and awesome to think about serving thousands of listeners by the minute, so I can't really complain.

Here's what my dashboard looks like (the technical aspect just takes getting used to, its quite easy),and the view from my 20th room glass wall... unfortunately I hate heights, but everyone's free to pop in for a visit and enjoy it for themselves.:)

BTW sorry if I've been MIA lately. I really have to switch internet providers STAT. :(

Make Your Own Havaianas 2010 came, saw and conquered, but this time with bolder selections and more vibrant colours. The fun was in the choosing indeed as Cebuano Havaianaticos browsed through welcome additions such as neon and glow-in-the-dark straps and crazier pins. And what better way to enjoy MYOH than with the company of your friends? Going through all the choices with my girls was absolutely fun, and it was interesting to note how we all mixed and matched soles and straps reflective of our own personalities-- I chose the lovely all black pair with the commemorative sole (above). Whoever said that your inner individuality can't shine through with flip-flops was wrong, of course.:)

Sweet from the lovely personal blog http://pensandlens.wordpress.com">Pens and Lens is probably one of the nicest gals I've had the pleasure of having online exchanges with in a long time, and that's saying much. She speaks with the choicest of words and she never runs out of compliments that will turn any sh*teous day around. I'm seriously regretting being too busy to meet her in the flesh before she left for Thailand, because I'm sure she would surpass all my already preconceived notions of her (all good, of course).

This interview feature that she did of me kind of made me blush, because I'm pretty sure I'm not THAT awesome. Hahah. But thanks, Sweet, from the bottom of my heart. :)

One of our favourite earth angels has already left the building to go back to her own spot of sand and sun in Boracay, and we're all still bummed out from her sudden leaving, me most especially. My friendship with Dane has been nothing short of amazeballs, considering how we've moved just being bloggers who frequently visit each other to becoming sisters from different misters... in this day and age when the internet is sometimes nothing but virtual reality, it's always a beautiful thing for relationships to actually transcend into real life. The past two months of having her around has been tremendously insane and chocked full of memories... I wouldn't have it any other way.

Babes, it's never goodbyes, we can't wait to see you in the island! xx

INSPIRATIONS: KRAFTWERK

The stuff of many industrialist dreams and nightmares- overdosing on Kraftwerk's "Radioactivity" for an upcoming fashion show that I'm styling for on the 27th. Working on an 80's scuba feel for the show, so this couldn't be more apt. I can loop Kraftwerk on my Ipod for 24 hours and drown myself in nuclear-induced thoughts and dreamscapes. Awesome. They truly are the granddaddies of electronica.
