Boy, keeping up sure is hard to do sometimes-- at least where blog posting is concerned. Take this outfit post for example-- something I wore to the Make Your Own Havaianas 2013 in Cebu event, sometime early August (which explains my very late "that Zara skort") post hehe. I know I have a serious backlog problem. Stress! I very much promise I'm working on it :)
Extremely glad to have met and hung out with the super down-to-earth, incredibly stylish wunderkind Bjorn Bedayo when he made his Cebu stopover for KalsadaPH. Though it was quite a short and spontaneous stay, it seemed like Bjorn had a grand time in Cebu. IMHO, it's always totes wonderful when people you admire from afar turn out to be really awesome in person.
Till we cross paths again, Bjorn (I'm guessing for BU6. Stay posted for updates xx) ! :)
I know we're past spring-summer (quick insert: I know it's rainy season and all, but the flooding has to stop. dear government por favor do something asap!) and all, but I'm still totally loving this Tonic transparent clutch which I acquired a couple of months ago. Cute, right? It's pretty simple yet it somehow sticks with you.

This isn't really one of those his-and-hers style blogs, but since me and my super good friend Rabsin both received nearly identical chambray shirts, and we were both attending the same event, we just couldn't resist going for a "couple" shoot!:)
Rabsin and I are both really honored to collaborate with Giordano Philippines for a styling challenge to celebrate their release of their Chambray Collection. I have been searching high and low for a crisp, perfectly tailored chambray shirt for awhile, so I was definitely pleased to have been given the good news.
Classic chambray shirts are synonymous to seasonless, timeless style. It goes along with the ranks of other closet staples, such as a crisp white shirt, black tailored blazer, and black skinnies in terms of wearability and versatility. Biases aside, you can seriously see the difference in the craftsmanship that goes with a Giordano chambray shirt--the material is extra soft yet remains crisp, the mother-of-pearl-like metallic buttons are extra sturdy, and overall, it just hangs and fits very well. I'm extra particular with fit when I invest in classic staples, so I know I got a winner with my shirt. I paired it with my favorite black pants and sneaker wedges for a simple, clean-cut look.
Before I wrap, I must send a special shout-out to my partner Thaad for being just amazing with the camera and for knowing how to manipulate the "magic hour" lighting oh so well. I've been receiving a lot of compliments with the "improved" pictures on my blog-- I have him to thank for everything.:)
Anyway, drop by any Giordano branch to get your own Chambray Collection shirt!:)

First outfit post of the year, woot woot. I've been gone from the interwebs long enough, and it's definitely been awhile since I last posted anything wardrobe or outfit-related on this blog. Steering clear from the blogosphere has served the hermit in me well as I haven't been feeling too "fashion blogger-y" for awhile. I haven't had much of the incessant urge or time to document everything I wear, or pose just about every corner to make my usual angles... I think this phase comes and goes for just about everyone who goes into fashion blogging. We sometimes feel like we've lost a bit of our mojo, or get lost in other pleasures and interests.. it happens. Here's me trying to get back with my first love.

Thank you to Kookie and GCashAmex for this wonderful contrast moto jacket, which I've been nearly married to for weeks now. Cebu weather has been kinder and perfectly gloomy for some leather-wearing lately. Hope it keeps up.

These days, I'm really not in the habit of overcomplicating what I wear. I'm trying to glide smoothly between my new life in acting school and working at the same time, so I really want a new paradigm when it comes to effortless, comfortable dressing. I hope that doesn't sound too boring but spare dressing has been sitting well with me.
I got to wear this dress which I got from my bff Yves C (an advanced birthday gift as he said, haha)on one of my trips to school. I'm just really glad that cooler weather is back and I get to whip out all the leather and PVC I can again. Decided to wear it with my beautiful Rajos to just give it a little kick. A lot of people might deem it "impractical" to be walking around in these, but on the contrary, they might just be some of the most comfortable shoes I've walked in. That's just in my opinion, at least.
Thank you again for spending a little bit of time here in my blog! I'll be visiting you back very shortly. Kisses!

I hope you guys hooked on to the blogosphere are doing great. I quietly shied away from the realm for a whole week myself to patch some figurative wounds and get over a mild case of emotional wreckage. Now moving forward and returning with some serious blogging. I missed all of you!
Not too long ago, I received an invite from Campaigns CEBU to attend an intimate launch for Groupon Philippines in Maya. For those yet to visit the site, Groupon.ph features daily deals by means of discount vouchers usable in hundreds of local establishments in the city and in the country. From restaurants, bars, hotel accomodations, as well as pampering and travel services, Groupon houses a long list of clientele with discounts of up to 50, sometimes 80% off. As I have bought a few vouchers from the site myself I couldn't wait to check their party out.
Well-attended by local bloggers and media practitioners alike, everybody got to go overboard on Maya's truly sensational mojitos and tapas while hearing more about the Groupon structure. It was fun, really light, and all the more informative. On top of that, we all got P500 Groupon credit just for confirming attendance. Really sweet.
I also got to wear the "business in front, party in the back" dress that I bought sometime ago. I keep some LBDs and other dresses for certain functions I need to tone down for--but oh well. Non-boring event, non-boring dress. Haha.
For some of the best deals in and around the city, check out Groupon.ph today!
wearing Ropa lightbulb necklace, black thrifted knit top, Topshop inner tank, DIY stars and stripes shorts, creeper boots from Asianvogue
These days, with my bf away from me and with my schedule getting increasingly maddening, I long for those short but incredible chances to get away for awhile and thoroughly enjoy with friends elsewhere. It really doesn't matter where it is as long as I'm with great company.
This year I finally had the opportunity to visit Dumaguete City for the Silliman Founder's Weekend after planning to go for many, many years now. Trooped on over with my good friends Marco and Rabsin (from PSF) and Vanessa to experience a slice of the revelry in another city... and boy, did we have an insanely good time. We hit the famed El Camino and went swimming the day after. More times like this, please.
I also finally got to wear my recently DIYed stars and stripes shorts--I've been meaning to DIY this for like FOREVER after seeing the now sold out Topshop ones. Very, very happy with the result. Mad props to Asianvogue for these sick Wang-inspired creepers-I think they also drew as much attention as the shorts.;)
Thanks to everyone who always come around to visit... ily all xx

I can't stress enough just how grateful I am for the whole roller-coaster ride that is fashion blogging. This experience has helped bridge like-minded individuals like us to communicate and forge close friendships beyond the interwebs, and that is the real kicker there. It isn't awkward "blogger meets" anymore but rather just friends convening and having a great time. It's really awesome.
Always looking forward to more fantastic (mis)adventures with the people in these photos, as well as all those who haven't really touched base with me yet. Shoot me an email or a comment because I would all love to hear from you. :)
**thank you Sweet and Marco for the photos
