Hello everyone! Officially beginning 2014 with my first outfit post... taken very much last year during the holiday heyday. Yeah, it's still backlog-ridding time!:) Not much to say about this outfit, really. It's pretty simple, and I wore it buying additional gifts and checking out Ulli's Streets of Asia with the husband. Oh, and say hello to the gorgeous brand-spankin' new Ayala Center Cebu Roof Deck right behind me! Their new expansion is not done yet, but it's so exciting and promising. I'll be sharing my pictures from the media soft opening soon!

This hat which I bought from the NAVA booth during Bloggers United 6 is becoming a bit of a security blanket-like item for me-- I can't seem to part ways with it most days, and its my coverup of choice during bad hair days (which is like, all the time TBH haha).

Augh! Sorry for the lack of outfit posts lately, you guys. Juggling quite a number of pending reviews and other backlogged posts. Kapoy jud kaayo usahay bitaw kung magpatung-patung na imong kailangan suwaton :(( (translation: I'm a little exhausted. haha.) Aside from the obvs reference to my sporty look in this post (haha sorry for the Hermes tagline use, lol) I've really literally quite led "a sporting life" of some sort-- I have been taking my personal fitness goals quite seriously and have been cross-training for almost a month now. It's been a good journey so far, but it does get super painful sometimes. I haven't lost a f**kton of weight yet, but I AM feeling huge changes with my levels of energy and strength. And yes, seeing a bit of muscle tone! Once I start making a lot of progress I'll make sure to blog about it sometime.:) 

Boy, keeping up sure is hard to do sometimes-- at least where blog posting is concerned. Take this outfit post for example-- something I wore to the Make Your Own Havaianas 2013 in Cebu event, sometime early August (which explains my very late "that Zara skort") post hehe. I know I have a serious backlog problem. Stress! I very much promise I'm working on it :)

Just wanted to quickly share the outfit posts the hubby took during my first meetup with Bjorn Manila when he visited Cebu for KalsadaPH. Really glad to have hung out with Bjorn during his short two-day stay- I never had the chance to chat him up during my Bloggers United visits, so it was really great to note how down-to-earth and easygoing he was in real life. Will post more details about our hang + Cebuano subjects for KalsadaPH soon!

As you might have noticed, I'm all about easy, casual dressing as of late (and I mean a lot more casual, a lot easier) Since I'm traveling here and there a lot these days, I want items that are as basic as they come but still pack some sort of edge and personality. The sportswear trend is something I'm gravitating to a lot lately-- it's fun, fuss-free and it makes me feel a degree younger haha. Mucho thanks to Chicnova for sending this jersey-inspired shirt and earrings in-- quite trendy, I know, but still simple enough to wear as a regular staple.

I never thought the day would come where I would proudly wear something very, very...pink. I think we both have a mutual dislike for each other, haha. I kinda grew up with a natural aversion to overtly feminine, frilly things, which is weird considering some of the ladies I'm closest to wear florals and head-to-toe pink on the regular. I guess polar opposites do attract in that sense.

Once in awhile though, I encounter pieces that challenge my "fundamental" sensibilities, and I could most def say that about this shocking pink beanie from Creative Caprice. Since I wear black, white and black/white most of the time, this adds a good focal point. Plus points for beanies being the perf "sucky hair day" accessory, right?

I also would love to send a super special thank you high five to the girls over at The Nerve Clothing for sending in this bitchin' crisp white moto vest from their collection as a gift. Very much wanted and tried to order it, but TNC decided to ship it as a present instead along with a few things, which was quite an unexpected treat. Presents aside, I've been a HUGE fan of their shop for awhile now for being on-the-pulse with what's trendy-- and offering lower-priced quality alternatives. Decided to wear it with my new Forever 21 leather skirt with slits, which I got on super super sale. Seriously, how awesome is Forever 21 when they go on sale? I always make a beeline for the leather items as they are usually the most discounted.

No, I did not wear this printed-jumper-and-leather-skirt combo recently. As much as I reeeally want to flip my middle finger and be like, "f*ck you, weather! I'll wear whatever the f*ck I want", these days Cebu City just feels like one big fricking sauna. This intense heatwave has rendered nearly half of my wardrobe useless, considering how much I love my leathers and all. Unless I do a huge wardrobe update (money, wherefore art thou?), I'm sort of screwed.

Here's me "trying" to be a good blogger and getting rid of my mountain of backlogs, beginning with this outfit post taken back in January. Back then I had gotten pretty fricking sick of my peroxided blonde hair, but now that I'm suffering from doll bangs (really not a good idea during the summer, unless you have Blake Lively hair or something), I'm kind of bored with my current look and I want to go back to the bottle again. After having sooo many hair color changes, I seriously ran out of ideas. Thoughts and suggestions?

Whatever you do to your body, it will make you pay it back with a vengeance. After advocating the "skinny bitch" lifestyle for the longest time --okay, that may be a tad bit harsh -- I just realized that I've gained quite a bit of weight. As much as I love my man, we honestly do need to start watching what we eat. I think that's what it feels like for a lot of long-term couples, because really, dating and dining comprises a whole lot of time in any relationship. You'll go out, and you'll eat. You'll want to try the latest "it" restaurants, hoard amazing pastas and philly cheese steaks, and order desserts for two. Being single for the longest time in the past, I saw the change in my eating attitudes and I honestly thought I could get away with it. Many flabs and with thunder thighs galore later,  I often ask myself, "what the heck happened?".

Since summer is once again around the corner, I find myself reminiscing, looking at pictures of my old , fitter self and desperately hoping I could bring some of the sexy back. I realized that I haven't blogged about this look yet. I also realized that I haven't tried hard yet enough. All I do is make these vague promises to myself, and plop my ass back down again and do nothing about it. I understand now that I need to pay the price for "letting myself go" with a lot of actual hard work and patience. I think I'm ready.

I love shoes as much as the next girl. Okay, maybe just a weeetle bit more than the normal girl. But after so many years of incessant impulse purchases and hoarding of trendy styles which I know won't get much wear in my closet (I'm talking about you, heelless shoes), I felt like I needed a change of perspective. It wasn't easy, but I eventually decided to bid adieu to many, many pairs of great shoes (either by selling them off or giving them to loved ones). I've made a promise to really save up for things that may  be worth way more than the average, but are sure to stand seasons.

It's been awhile since I really, really fell in love with a shoe design, but my heart did leaps and cartwheels when I saw the Jeffrey Campbell "Soiree" for the first time. Burdened by its somewhat steep price, I was lucky enough to have my good friend and fellow blogger Sweet bring this home for me from Bangkok, a tad bit discounted and all.:)

As per my bf, "it looks like you're walking on air." He can't have described it better! I can't wait to take outfits with these:)

Thank you to Kookie and GCashAmex for this wonderful contrast moto jacket, which I've been nearly married to for weeks now. Cebu weather has been kinder and perfectly gloomy for some leather-wearing lately. Hope it keeps up.
